Onboard a school
Create the customer tenant, first campus, first school administrator, and default-off safety configuration together. The administrator receives a HALO invitation after provisioning.

SCHOOL ACCESS
Invite an emergency-response user
Access is assigned to the selected school campus before an invitation is sent. Any email domain is allowed, but an email address alone never grants HALO access.

Select the authorized destination
CSV columns and location codes
Required: external_id, display_name, attendance_status, service_date. Optional: location_code.
Attendance must be expected or confirmed_absent. Student and visitor identifiers are reduced one-way by HALO after submission. Staff files use the assigned HALO staff UUID.
STEP 2
Validate the CSV
Maximum 2 MiB and 5,000 people. Do not include grades, birthdates, medical or custody information, family contacts, discipline, credentials, or other SIS fields.
